We love this town we are living in, the people are so friendly. We get up every morning and walk for about 2 miles. We have had some wonderful experiences here with members and town folks. Such beautiful views no matter which way you look. Today we drove through the mountains to Gypsom. What a beautiful drive! I took some pictures for you to see.

Delta

We are here in Delta, we will be serving in both wards the Delta and the Uncompahgre wards.
It is beauitful here, we have a great apartment that is owned by members of the church, they are wonderful. We have to be careful what we say we need because they just go out and get it.
I will be putting on a couple of pictures from the MTC so that you can see the couples that were in our district. They were all wonderful, one couple is going to Russia(they are doing the some thing that we are, one to Africia(theirs is a temple mission) and the last one is going all over Idaho filming records (they have to live in a hotel the whole time. I am so glad that we are not doing that.
We have been blessed with great leaders for both wards, we had an experience last week that confirmed the reason we were sent to Colorado! Also we have been going for a walk every morning and I have been able to walk futher than I have in a very long time!! So hopefully we will be smart and keep that up.

On Monday we learned from D & C 31: 3
Lift up your heart and rejoice, for the hour of your mission is come; and your tongue shall be loosed, and you shall declare glad tidings of great joy unto this generation.
We also learned this phrase:
Blessed our the flexible for they shall not be bent out of shape!!! Such a great phrase for all of us whether we are on a mission or just living our everyday life's. I know that I get bent out of shape over very silly things sometimes.
We have loved being here at the MTC we are learning so much and we have truly felt the spirit working on us to help us become better people.

We enter the MTC today at 10:15am this morning! What an experience, we were meet by two missionaries that carried our bags up to our room. Gary was very grateful, I don't pack lighthly!
We have meet many wonderful couples going all over the world. We are very grateful that we don't have to learn a new language. Our room is wonderful, and the food is great (no cooking or washing dishes)!!
We start training tomorrow, we are really looking forward to that.

President Maynes called last night to tell us that we have been assigned to Delta, Colorado. They are two ward in Delta. It look like it will be a beautiful area, we are very excited to serve there.

Our mission president called last night to say he was excited for our call and would be praying for where we are to serve. He let us know what we would be doing and that they would be looking for an apartment for us to live in. We will report to him on Saturday February 11th. We are so excited to meet President Maynes and his wife, they are going to meet us in the place that will be chosen for us to serve. President Maynes told us about the mission area, there are several stakes in our area, they had over 400 covert baptisms last year and 400 saints activated that is amazing. We are really excited about serving in Colorado, The Colorado South mission area is smaller than our stake in Minnesota.

Mission call

We are excited to report that we have been called to serve in the Colorado Denver South Mission. We report to the MTC on Monday February 6, 2012. We received a call form the mission office today to ask what our correct address was because it got returned to them with an address unknown stamped on it. We quickly drove to the church building in Salt Lake to get the call. I should say Jamie drove us quickly! We drove back to Tooele call our family in Minnesota and then open the envelope. We are very grateful for this opportunity to serve in Colorado, my mother has been praying that we would be serving some where close to her, her pray was answered. We will be staying with her and Jamie while we are waiting.
